A dinosaur-type Zoid developed by the Zenebas Empire in the early stages of the Central Continent War. Its predecessor, the Molga Marauder (Marder), had excellent mobility but suffered heavy losses due to weak armor. Geruder was created to solve this problem .
Compared to Marder, its mobility was reduced, but its armor was strengthened, improving bullet resistance and survivability. As such, it was deployed on the frontlines. Equipped with the Magnéssor System, it was capable of high-speed movement and could transport multiple soldiers .
By around ZAC 2044–2046, it was retired from frontline service . Some units survived even after the Planet Zi Grand Catastrophe of ZAC 2056, though treated as antiques. However, under Proitzen’s harsh orders for total assault, they were redeployed in the Dark Continent (Nyx Continent) battles of ZAC 2101 .
Mounted in the horns.
Mounted on the forehead; the turret extends forward when in use.
Mounted beneath the cockpit.
The cockpit itself was capable of independent flight .
Released December 1984. Powered by a small wind-up power unit. Some parts were later reused for Zatton. The name was chosen by reader poll ; during development the provisional name “Ketora” was used .
Features included basic quadrupedal walking, manual opening/closing of the cockpit, and manual deployment of the Triple Impact Laser using a back lever.
