A spider-type Zoid of the Helic Republic Army. It was developed as a high-speed reconnaissance unit for land-based operations [45]. For this reason, it is not equipped with powerful weapons, but it is effective in combat on rocky or sandy terrain, and in group battles [45]. It was retired from the front lines around ZAC 2044-2046 during the Central Continent War [47].

Equipped on the back [45]. There are two conflicting descriptions in the materials, one calling it the Great Launcher [45] and another calling it the Pikerra Ele-Shot [131].

==== RMZ-04 Gurantula ====

Released in 1983. Its power source is a small wind-up power unit. The walking gimmick, which moves two pairs of legs alternately, would later be used for the Guysack, just as planned.

==== ZOIDS MZ Gurantula ====

Released around 1991. The molding colors are roughly white for the cockpit, torso frame, and weapons; ultramarine blue for the legs; clear orange for the canopy; and gray for the joint caps. The stickers are new and feature the Helic Republic's emblem.

==== Helic Memorial Box 1983 ====

Released on July 28, 2006. A set of five Zoids: Aqudon, Elephantus, Gallius, Glidoler, and Gurantula.

Featured in the November 1984 issue of the Shogakukan magazine, Shogaku San-nensei [130]. A type equipped with the heavy armor cockpit of a Godos (and Guysack) and two rotating single cannons on its rear.

Featured in the November 1984 issue of the Shogakukan magazine, Shogaku San-nensei [130]. A custom-built unit equipped with numerous quill-like missiles on its rear.

===== Centipede-Type Ancient Insect =====

A custom build idea from the book, "All About Combat Mechanical Beasts" [127]. It involves linking multiple Gurantulas together and covering them with a shell similar to that of the Ohm from Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.

===== Ex-Gurantula =====

A pure enhanced model deployed in ZAC 2057, shortly after the great cataclysm on Planet Zi in ZAC 2056, which caused the extinction of many Zoids. For more details, see the "Ex-Gurantula" entry.
